Ren’s Pets, a leading Canadian specialty retailer of pet food and supplies, has announced it is opening a store in Sarnia, Ontario, this November. The 10,000-square-foot store will be located at 1330 Exmouth Street beside Planet Fitness. This will be the eighth new store opening for Ren’s in 2022 and will bring the total store count to 46 stores for the pet retail chain.
“We’re so excited to be coming to the Sarnia area, where we know there are tons of very passionate pet owners,” said Scott Arsenault, CEO at Ren’s Pets. “We have stores in London and Windsor, so Sarnia is a natural next stop for us. The opportunity to move into a busy, growing area of the city was great. We’re thrilled to be able to show Sarnia pet parents what we have for your Pet’s Best Life when we open later this fall.”
“We’re also looking forward to getting to know the local humane society and animal groups in Sarnia,” continued Arsenault. “It’s really important to us to become part of the community where we have stores and participate in events or programs that help pets.”
The new Sarnia store will feature over 8,000 products with aisles of high-quality dog and cat food, displays of treats and toys, plus a special grooming section. There will also be 16 doors or 32’ of large walk-in freezers for raw & frozen pet food. Customers can shop in store, order online for pick up at store, use local same day delivery powered by DoorDash, or have their purchases shipped to home.
“Ren’s really is the place to visit if you’re looking for premium pet food, treats, and toys,” said Larissa Wasyliw, VP of e-commerce and marketing at Ren’s Pets. “Sarnia is actually my hometown, and I know from living and visiting here the amount of pet owners there are in the city. Walking down by the waterfront or at events in the downtown, you see tons people with their dogs.”
“Our Ren’s customers love to bring their pets into our stores, weigh them on our scales, try samples, ask for advice from our knowledgeable staff, get fitted for clothing or harnesses, and socialize with other pet folks and their pups,” continued Wasyliw. “Our Sarnia store will be amazing, one of our largest locations. We’ll be looking to hire a great team for this store as well, who are likely passionate pet owners themselves.”
