Jess is a beautiful and smart girl, very friendly and likes to make a fuss. She likes her toys, and the abundant toys make her enjoy happiness in the kennel, because she awaits her forever home. Jess does not have much experience in the family environment. Although we are looking for a permanent home for Jess, we also welcome a temporary foster family where she can gain more life experience. Jess may be sensitive to unexpected noises, and she needs an understanding master who can help her overcome any fear. She is also sensitive to traffic noise, so Jess needs to settle in a quiet place and take a walk in a quiet place. People with experience in sheepdogs will be the ideal new owners for the lovely Jace. She can share her home with a puppy friend, wait for several successful meetings at the center, and she can also live with children 12 years and older.

Brody is a very affectionate puppy who is currently enjoying all the comforts of a foster family while waiting for his new home forever. He may be shy the first time he meets, but he will come back on his own time, and once you gain his trust, he will like to hug. When Brody finds it fun, he can find a soft toy. He really likes the company of humans, so he is looking for a new home, and his master is there most of the day.

In his foster family, Brody likes to sleep in the bedroom at night. He is looking for a calm and quiet adult, no children, no children, he is the only dog. Brody does have some medical needs, and the team will discuss these needs with potential adopters.

Conor O'Kane, Manager of the Dogs Trust Ballymena Rehoming Center, explained the changes in the center following the relaxation of restrictions.

He said: "Since the pandemic hit, thanks to our excellent team and local supporters, Dogs Trust Ballymena has continued to receive, care and relocate dogs.

"During this time, we established a virtual re-housing process and achieved great success, providing a level playing field for many dogs that were previously ignored by potential new families.

"During the turmoil of the past year, we are extremely proud of how our team has overcome the challenges we faced to make our dogs their best.

"The pandemic allows us to try new things and learn valuable experience to inform the new process.

"As the restrictions are lifted, we will continue our successful virtual relocation process to match the dog with its new owner.

“However, we like to be part of the local community and hope to start welcoming people back to the center while continuing to put the well-being of our dogs and staff first.

Local dog lovers can book a time slot to visit the center on one of the information days held every Sunday from 12pm to 4pm.

Visitors will be able to meet our friendly staff, see the best Dogs Trust Ballymena, including our state-of-the-art kennel, and most importantly, see some of our beautiful dogs spending time with their canine care staff .

"Information Day will not focus on resettlement. Anyone who is interested in resetting a dog from us will be guided to the virtual resettlement process and begin their re-housing journey.

"We believe these more private visitor information days will help our dogs start to feel comfortable again in the public, while helping us keep our employees and visitors safe.

"We would like to take this opportunity to thank the local dog lovers for their continued support and help us do the best for the dogs we take care of.

"To book the Information Day slot, please visit www.dogstrust.org.uk/ourcentres," Conor said.
