Get ready for the rumble of motorcycles this Saturday. This is an important day for the Toys for Tots event. New Boston Riders will participate in their annual Dwight Neville Memorial Christmas Cycling Parade through town, which will start a day full of fun and of course toys. All this happened this Saturday, December 11th, when the parade started from the Central Shopping Center.

New Boston Riders will leave the CVS parking lot in New Boston at 9 a.m. and arrive at the Central Mall in Texarkana at 9:30 a.m. The bicycle parade will leave the Central Mall at the parking lot of the Commercial National Bank at 10 am. They will ride along New Boston Road to Texas Avenue. Then on 7th Street, follow Stateline to Texas Blvd to College Drive. Then the parade will return to the Central Shopping Center area.

Then the toy collection will start with auto shows, bicycle shows and live music.

At 12 o'clock in the afternoon, the event will be transferred to the Texas Elk Lodge at 3702 New Boston Road, Texarkana, Texas, for the auction portion of the fundraising event.

The entrance fee is only $5 or a new unpackaged toy.

Toys for Tots is a charity program of the US Marine Corps. The program raises funds and collects toys for poor children in 11 surrounding counties. Last year, the program gave toys to 3,140 children.
