Supply chain woes, labor shortages and the ongoing impact of COVID-19 continue to challenge U.S. businesses of all sizes. In the face of adversity, companies, including those that are pet focused, are finding ways to keep up momentum and grow.

Inc. Magazine has released its annual 5000 list, which ranks the fastest-growing private companies in the U.S, and features dozen of pet-focused companies.

“The accomplishment of building one of the fastest-growing companies in the U.S., in light of recent economic roadblocks, cannot be overstated,” said Scott Omelianuk, editor-in-chief of Inc. “Inc. is thrilled to honor the companies that have established themselves through innovation, hard work and rising to the challenges of today.”

Pet companies that ranked on the list include Jiminy’s, SmarterPaw, Carnivore Meat Co., Scenthound and The Dog Stop, just to name a few.

No. 156: Veterinary Emergency Group in White Plains, N.Y. Veterinary firm specializing in after-hours emergency care for pets. Growth: 3,238 percent

No. 273: Farm Hounds in Smyrna, Ga. Company making and selling dog treats and chews sourced from family farms. Growth: 2,005 percent

No. 289: Jiminy’s in Berkeley, Calif. Dog food company using cricket protein to offer nutritious and sustainable products. Growth: 1,942 percent
