If Charlie’s life was a movie, it would be “Groundhog Day.” He came to the shelter several years ago when he was surrendered by his owner. He was adopted for three years, but now he finds himself back at the shelter through no fault of his own.

Charlie is a friendly dog, but he can be nervous around new people. If you take the time to earn his trust, he’s very sweet and playful.

He’s never been formally trained, but he already knows sit, let’s go, and he’s eager to learn more. He’s also crate-trained.

Charlie is about five years old and at 71 pounds is something of a chunky monkey. He has soulful eyes and a beautiful face.

He enjoys going for walks, chewing on a bone, and playing with a squeaky ball. He walks nicely on a leash and enjoys car rides.

If you’re looking for a gentle companion, look no further – Charlie is waiting for you at the CNYSPCA.

REQUIREMENTS: In order to adopt, you must fill out an application, pay an adoption fee, and have your pets up to date on their rabies vaccines. All adopted cats and dogs are spayed or neutered before they go home.
